In March 2024 The Location Collective announced the imminent opening of OMA Studio V – their third studio following OMA One and OMA X, which opened in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Both of those studios have been fully booked since becoming available so these new sound stages will also likely be very popular. They are sited in Radlett, Hertfordshire, with easy access to the M25. The Location Collective claim that the new studio is within an hour’s drive time of 80% of London’s crew base. This facility has been designed for a single high-end TV production or feature film looking for a fully self-contained and controllable base.
The 5 acre site includes 36,000 sq ft of production office and support space. The three stages are fully soundproofed and consist of one at 32,000 sq ft and two more at 16,500 sq ft.
Recent Location Collective credits before this studio opened include: Napoleon, Loki, Slow Horses, Empire of Light, The Crown, Gladiator 2, Mission Impossible, Wicked, Masters of the Air, Wicked Little Letters, Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Black Mirror and The Boys in the Boat.
