Gravity Media were originally based in Askew Road, where they were established in 1997 as Input Video Facilities, later becoming Input Media and then Gravity Media. They have enjoyed partnerships with UEFA and the FA and supported the BBC’s Women’s World Cup coverage in 2015 and 2019. Other activity has included Goodwood and the WSL along with Setanta Sports transmission and most of its production, Chelsea and Arsenal TV, Boxnation, The Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups and the IPL.

An interesting announcement appeared in February 2023 – Formula E had just opened a 50,000 sq ft production centre along with Gravity Media in the WestWorks. This is the building in Wood Lane previously occupied by the BBC and called White City One by them. It was refurbished by Stanhope after they bought it from the BBC in 2015. The whole campus is now known as White City Place.
According to a press release the facility contains ‘production, post-production and live studios, with dedicated master control rooms, six dedicated production control rooms with dedicated audio control rooms, seven flexi control rooms, multiple off-tube commentary booths, two studios, lighting and vision control facilities, fast turnaround and craft edit, flexi desk production spaces, media management and client desking.’ Phew. Very impressive.
Martin Deutsch kindly wrote to me with more info about this in June 2024:
A small update for you on the building formerly known as White City One. As well as Formula E, one gallery is being used by TNT Sports for their Premier League coverage (using the remote production kit which was installed in BT Sport during Covid); ATP Media for world feed production of the men’s tennis tour; and this summer by ITV Sport as their remote production hub for Euro 2024. As you may have heard, Gravity Media and EMG merged at the start of the year, so there’s starting to be a lot more collaboration between the two companies.
The company left the old HQ in Askew Road at the end of November 2025 and transferred all its business to The WestWorks. Martin sent me some more info in December 2025. It seems that Gravity Media’s area has expanded to cover about three quarters of the top floor, now has 9 galleries and some more on the way. One of the studio spaces has stopped being used as a storeroom and has made it on air with some FA Cup world feed shows.
In January 2026 This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women began broadcasting from the Hospital Club studio in Soho. The production company ITV Daytime was renamed MultiStory Media and the studio became MultiStory Studios. Gravity Media are providing all the tech facilities and are using a remote gallery in the WestWorks to control the studio, which is about 6 miles away. The production offices for the shows are in the ITV facilities, next door to Gravity in the Broadcast Centre. The programmes were previously made in TC2 and TC3 at Television Centre, just down the road in Wood Lane.

Geoff Ward, who works for Gravity, was kind enough to write to me in February 2026 to inform me that they were also in the process of building a brand-new TV studio at the WestWorks. It’s a multi-camera studio with excellent connectivity, a TV floor of approximately 10m x 16m, and a height of around 5 metres. (That’s about 53ft x 33ft and 16ft high, in old money.)
