Studio A in 1990, during a recording of a play made by the OU called We Return You To The Studio.  This was 9 years after the OU had left the building.  It was made in analogue 1250-line HD (the latest experimental technology at the time) and re-created the making of a play in the 1930s.  The studio looks here much as it would have in those extraordinary days.  A few retired BBC engineers who worked at AP in the pre-war years were called back to assist in the making of this play as they used original cameras and other equipment as working props.

It was the last time a television programme was made in this studio.
